News Curation - Recording History

In an advertisement for her cable news show Rachel Maddow tells us that her process of discovery and reporting is finding patterns and connections between stories.

Jon Stewart often curates news from different sources to make a point.

In essence Rachel and Jon curate news - record history - on a daily basis in order to bring us a deeper insight and analysis of the current events.  Without historical perspective analysis would not be possible.

The movement of history is like an ocean of change.  Events flow in parallel and at warp speed.  Curating and organizing events as they occur will register events in the moment and capture the sentiments of the moment in real time.

In this example events in the Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Egypt, Tunisia, Syria, Bahrain, Libya and Israel is curated to record the history of struggle for democracy in the middle east.
